We ran into the same problem yesterday evening. Just getting ready to post and we saw your post. We will try your workaround.

Re: Error with netcdf lib when linking upwelling test case
It is often the case that once I post a problem to a forum, I figure out the problem in short order. Seems to accelerate the process. Anyway, it's working now and the problem was the libnetcdff.a file not being linked.
Sorry!

Error with netcdf lib when linking upwelling test case
Hi, I have been working on this for a couple of days and can't get the upwelling test case to link. I am using the build.bash on a mac under OSX 10.8.4 and gfortran. I followed the tutorial here as close as possible: https://www.myroms.org/wiki/index.php/ROMS_Mac_Snow_Leopard I compiled the netcdf ...

Re: How to couple roms with wrf?
I wrote a couple/regrid module a few years ago. Some results are written up here: http://sc.tamu.edu/research/chang/new/ Is that the sort of thing you are interested in doing? At the time ROMS did not have the capability to do this so I wrote it from scratch. Is that still the case or do you want ...

Problem Fixed
I thought I would post an update as we have solved this problem. We were on a new version of Linux (Centos 5) and apparently the new kernel broke the myricom drivers. I was told by their support people that this happens from time to time and they try to stay on top of it. As it turned out they ...

The model is a regional Atlantic domain with a resolution of 1/4 degree in both latitude and longitude and 30 layers. So, i=482, j=342 and k=30. I have run this model on other systems without this problem. I don't believe it is a ROMS problem at all but was wondering if any other users had seen it ...

MPICH/Myricom tiling problem
I have just built a 64 processor cluster using a myrinet switch and MPICH1 for MPI. I getting an unusual and random problem. I realize that this may not be a ROMS problem (but a switch, mpi or compiler problem) but I wanted to see if any users have had similar experiences. I am running ROMS3 coupled ...

The "QUADRATIC" option in 3.0 lmd_skpp.F
We have installed and upgraded to ROMS 3.0. In the past we have had problems with the surface boundary layer (hsbl) computed in the KPP mixing routine. I see that a new option (which is undocumented) has been added to 3.0 which is set by the compiler control option "QUADRATIC" and is deactivated in ...

Creating Boundary Netcdf Files
Hi,
Is there a package available to create boundary netcdf files from climatology files? Also, any documentation on using boundary files?
Thanks
Hank

Portland Group r16
Hi, I am having some difficulty compiling ROMS using the portland group compiler under Linux. I have been succesfull compiling and running under Linux/IBM fortran, Linux/intel fortran and Darwin/IBM fortran. The r16 variables used in set_weights is causing problems. Anyone seen this problem? Thanks ...
