You need to be more specific about your problem. Did the mex files not compile or did they compile and not work? Here is my guess. It is only a guess so hopefully someone out there can confirm. The fortran files used by seagrid might not compile properly for 64-bit versions of Matlab. My advice is ...

I used to use g95 and gnumex to compile for 32 bit windows, but the death of both gnumex and g95 have made this impossible for 64 bit windows, and I could never get gfortran to work.
