Hi All,
Is there a tool to compute advective Courant numbers from ROMS grid and history files? I tried to use "courant" from http://www.atmos.ucla.edu/~alex/ROMS/tools.tar, but it expects to find global attributes (e.g. dt, VertCoordType) that are not in the files.
Thanks
Steve

I'm checking out the tine step issue
I used the same boundary conditions as the COAWST Hurricane Sandy example which is also all land on the western boundary and partially open on the other boundaries. I assumed that the gradient condition specifies the temperature and salinity gradients ...

ROMS blows up "DIAG speed trouble"
Hello,
I'm running a single grid ROMS-only COAWST model of the GOM. The model blows up after 1 time step with a "DIAG speed trouble"
error. A plot of the model domain is attached and below are what seem to me to be relavent sections of the standard output file.
The entire standard out is attached ...

Re: wind vector direction in NAM and NARR data
Hi John,
Sorry to take so long to get back on this, got sidetracked on another project ...
Anyway I did get ncei_2roms.m to work. Here is a list of the changes I made. I only worked on the NAM and NARR sections since I didn't use GFS data. Nor did I make any changes to Matlab "ncread" parts of the ...

Re: wind vector direction in NAM and NARR data
John W,
Did nomads_2roms.m end up being named ncei_2roms.m?
Thanks,
Steve
