What’s the difference between these files, like intitial files , the lateral conditions, climatology files and other input forcing NETCDF files in ROMS?

The differences are in the use by ROMS and the shapes of the respective fields. Initial files contain initial conditions, needed for the full ROMS grid (2-D or 3-D depending). Boundary conditions are only needed on the lateral boundaries where there are open boundaries. Forcing files are 2-D fields applied at the surface, for the most part. Can you be more specific with your questions? What are you trying to model?
