Hello ROMS community,
I am trying to simulate the interaction between the ocean and a river to analyze the salinity plume on SWASH MODEL. Currently, I am working only with a river discharge flowing into the sea (no waves or tides involved). However, when the plume starts approaching the coast, the model crashes. Honestly, I don't fully understand why this is happening.
My domain is 1200x999 meters with cells of 3x3 meters each. The simulation time is 12 hours, but it crashes at 6 hours. According to the SWASH manual, when dealing with salinity and sediment analysis, it is suggested to use TVD as the numerical scheme. I applied it, but the model still crashes.
I will attach the .sws, .bot, and .sal files in case anyone can help me.
Could it be the bathymetry? In my opinion, it shouldn't cause any issues.
The .sws file contains the following:

i think this is the wrong site for your question.
Does SWASH have their own user help site?
