On inert passive tracers

Hi everyone,

I ran into a problem that I suspect has a simple solution (I just can't see it). I'm trying to set an inert passive tracer, so I define T_PASSIVE and ANA_PASSIVE, change Hout(inert) = T on the .in, and make sure it's finding the changes in ana_passive.h. However, when I run my simulation I get the error:

NLM: CHECKVARS - unable to find model variable: dye_01
in file: /scylla-b/home/cschultz/roms.git/Projects/WAP.ICE.LMD/ocean_his_all_0177.nc

Am I missing something obvious?

Did you turn on passive tracers after starting your simulation? You should probably use the restart file as an initial file (NRREC=0). This way you can change the fields being written to the output files.
